1.) New York State Public Health Association - Martha Pofit, Executive Director of the NYSPHA will describe advocacy and communication efforts on the state and national level engaging NYSPHA, PHANYC and APHA members residing in NYS to enhance effectiveness.

Learning Objectives:
Describe the experiences of four state affiliates under ACBI. Identify potential best practices to share with other affiliates. Evaluate positive and not-so-positive outcomes of activities initiated under the Affiliate Capacity Building Initiative in order to help others move forward in their own capacity-building activities.
