This session will explore a variety of topics relating to risk factors, screening and other issues in diabetes epidemiology. The session will include presentations about racial and ethnic differences in microalbuminuria testing, the association between sleep duration and diabetes, the association between diabetes and pregnancy outcomes, diabetes in US military personnel, and the association between renal function with hyperglycemia and diabetes.
Session Objectives: 1. Describe racial disparities in microalbuminuria testing. 2. Describe 3-year incidence of newly-reported diabetes among a military population. 3. Describe the association of renal function with hyperglycemia and diabetes.
