This session deals with several important issues related to barriers to accessing healthcare among people with disabilities. Two presentations focus on utilization and non-utilization patterns among people with disabilities who have less-than-optimal health coverage. Two other presentations focus on identifying and reducing barriers to quality care for people with disabilities in hospital settings.
Session Objectives: Identify key issues in access to healthcare for people with disabilities. Compare barriers to accessing healthcare among people with disabilities according to health coverage.
