: 3:10 PM - 3:30 PM
The Brain Injury Navigator (BIN) is a web-based information resource center for individuals with TBI, their family members, caregivers, and healthcare providers. The BIN is composed of six components: Service Locator, Education Component, Evidence-Based Practice Component, Payer Component, Electronic Care Coordinator, and the E-help Desk. The Electronic Care Coordinator (ECC) is the personal health management platform of the BIN which allows users to store information tagged in searches of the other BIN components as well as personal health information like in a personal health record (PHR). The ECC demonstrates to conference attendees the innovations in personal health management tools that target specific healthcare consumer groups and leverage other web content in order to centralize the user experience for individuals affected by TBI. This session will explore the technical architecture and functionality of the ECC as well as the methodology used for its design, development, and refinement.
