Learning Objective: • Understand how to convert text and numbers from a short scientific document into meaningful communication with lay audiences such as news media representatives and policy makers.

Abstract:

The purpose of this activity is to enable participants to work together in small groups to develop skills and practice the principles covered in the previous sessions to more effectively communicate data, e.g., apply the OPT-In Framework to an actual public health issue. Selected small group members will have a chance to present their data-related messages and to receive feedback from the Workshop organizers and other attendees.
