233712 Marijuana as Medicine: Consider the side effects

Dr. McLellan will provide a brief summary about the known medicinal ingredients in cannabis but will go on to discuss the known contraindications at the individual level and at the population level. He will conclude by discussing the policy implications of using public referenda (popular vote) to approve medications. The discussion will be couched in terms of the policies and priorities within the 2010 National Drug Control Strategy.
