The Dietary Guidelines are the basis of Federal nutrition policy, programs and consumer education. In this session, the results of formative research related to communications strategies for the 2010 Dietary Guidelines will be presented. New tactics for communicating the updated Guidelines will be highlighted, with a focus on sustainable and actionable messages over the Guidelines' five-year lifecycle.
