Are you using social media? More importantly, are you using social media effectively? With a background in social media for political campaigns, nonprofit issue advocacy and fundraising, and original research on online activism, this speaker will discuss the use of social media for outreach and issue campaigns and how to translate online activism into offline results.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have 7 years experience using social media in a variety of settings, including political campaigns, nonprofit issue advocacy and fundraising, and private niche communities. I currently manage in the internal social networking site for MGMA, which has 11,000 subscribers. I earned my MA in administration with a special focus on communication and social media, for which I conducted original research on online activism and users’ perspectives on social media advocacy.
