At the micro level, cost effectiveness analyses are presented of innovative practice and organizational changes, including public-private partnerships for chronic disease management and control. At the macro level, the effects of macroeconomic cycles on depression are analyzed to elucidate the multilevel context for economic determinants of health.
Session Objectives: 1. Discuss health economic analyses from micro and macro perspectives. 2. Describe efficient mechanisms for practice and organizational change in chronic disease management 3. Name some evaluation strategies for comparative cost effectiveness research.
