5140.1 Breast and cervical cancer screening

This session will focus on the advantages of cervical and breast cancer screenings and their long term benefit for women's health. Panelists will discuss cancer prevention strategies for Asian American women, with one panelist focusing discussion on Vietnamese American women. Epidemiological findings regarding breast density as a risk factor for breast cancer will also be shared.
Session Objectives: 1. Discuss the importance of screening for breast and cervical cancer. 2. Describe why prevention and screening are cost effective. 3. Discuss public health challenges related to cervical and breast cancer prevention among Asian American women.
