For the conference, we are organizing a special intersectional environmental justice and occupational justice track (i.e., multiple sections developing a track). This session includes abstracts on programs that speak to environmental health and occupational health and safety training, capacity building, partnering, and public health educating.
Session Objectives: Articulate communication strategies for individuals and communities regarding the risk of evironmental exposures and health; Discuss the impact of train-the-trainer health education models to educate the community; Discuss practical strategies for bridging the gap between science and law to produce effective partnerships; Explain the implications of using an evaluation system to assess the effectiveness of a health and safety intervention; Differentiate two models for green economy pre-employemtn health and safety training.
