This session looks at strategies for engaging communities in addressing barriers to health equality. It will explore the impact of racism on social determinants of health.
Session Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be better able to • Describe how systems science can address social determinants of diabetes. • Define and operationalize “translational research” as it applies to public health and social welfare • Describe different types of Certificate of Need (CON) for health care.
