The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of professional teachers training programs on school smoking cessation services. The Kirkpatrick Four Levels Evaluation model was used as evaluation conceptual framework. The research methods included personal interview and questionnaire survey. The results were summarized as follows: 1. There were 217 junior and senior high school teachers participating in the training program including 164 teachers participated in the basic program and 53 teachers participated in the advanced program. 2. Reaction level: the trained teachers reported positive feedbacks for the training program. 3. Learning level: the trained teachers' knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy of providing school smoking cessation services increased after training programs. 4. Behavior level: a total of 105 school smoking cessation classes were held by the trained teachers. A total of 1573 students attended smoking cessation classes. The teachers who joined advanced training class took average 10.6 hours per course to help students quit smoking, while teachers who joined basic training course took 5.30 hours per course to help students quit smoking. 5. Result level: 137 trained teachers completed the final reports. Students who received smoking cessation services significantly improved in CO data, FTQ, cigarettes smoking per day, and smoking cessation stage of change. In conclusion, the professional training programs on school smoking cessation services had positive impact in increasing professional teachers' competency in providing school smoking cessation services . Further study can develop educational indicators based on the Kirkpatrick Model and establish network for trained teachers.
