School health services and school nursing services are challenged to meet the needs of a growing number children with chronic health conditions. Best practices are often not systematically integrated into the delivery of school health services. This session will describe several community efforts to improve the quality of school health services delivery and medication administration for children with asthma, diabetes and other chronic health conditions.
Session Objectives: 1. Describe strategies to overcome difficulties in delivering best practice for students with chronic health conditions 2. Identify methods for training unlicensed personnel in safe and accurate medication administration
