The presentations for this session will critically examine issues of social justice and public health as they pertain to the conditions – from global to local – that enable healthy communities to flourish versus block their development, and will do so in relation to the 3 foci of our Spirit of 1848 Caucus: the social history of public health, the politics of public health data, and progressive pedagogy for public health.
