Good oral health is integral to general health and well-being. Most oral diseases and injuries that affect health and well-being throughout life are preventable, yet the burden of these oral problems is extensive and particularly severe in vulnerable populations.
Session Objectives: 1. Describe the role of the non-dental provider in oral health promotion; 2. Discuss various settings and circumstances conducive to oral health promotion. 3. Explain how transformative learning can impact dental health education and promotion
