Financing home and community based long term care has been at the forefront of health policy since the passage of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965. This session discusses the following important issues related to this topic: need for broad-based financing for home and community long term care, need for broad-based financing of long term services and supports, implementation model for Class act and rural aspects of the Class Act.
Session Objectives: 1. Discuss long term care financing models.
2. Discuss suggestions to meet long term care financing and service needs of rural Americans.
