261639 Barriers to healthcare for veterans and active duty military

GIs and veterans of the Afghan war are still experiencing both internal and organizational barriers to obtaining healthcare, including both physical care and mental health care. The suicide rate among these troops is at record-high levels. The care for trauma, especially to the brain, ranges from excellent to terrible. We will discuss the barriers to care and the inequities with the objective of finding some solutions to these shameful facts.
