This session will discuss disparities in access to health care and disparities in quality of healthcare among veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. These inequalities are related to enlistment status (regular service vs National Guard), discharge status, geographic location and type of medical need. System-wide and individual interventions will be discussed.
Session Objectives: Discuss disparities in access to care in general for these veterans. Identify barriers to obtaining care for TBI and PTSD in particular.
