The Rural Health Care (RHC) program is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that has more than $400 million a year available to provide reduced rates for telecommunications service and broadband access used for the provision of health care services, including HIIT and remote access to medical care to rural populations. This presentation will focus on the funding support available for rural health care providers (HCPs) and specifically, exciting new developments in the RHC program. Proposals for enhancements to the application process, features of the new application system, modifications to application forms, and policy changes will be discussed.
