Health inequity and disparities in health care lead to disparate outcomes among America's most vulnerable populations. Among ethnic minorities, the need to improve these outcomes underscores the need for more robust Health IT tools. This session will focus on tools that would help practitioners collect and arrange online data and content for visualization purposes, as well as help researchers design and deliver linguistically and culturally competent health education and awareness messages.
Session Objectives: At the end of this session, participants should be able to: *Discuss the impact of language on the quality of medical care and patient-provider interactions; *List the features and functionality of a data visualization and content management system.
