This presentation will describe the urgent need to address dental workforce shortages, the options states have for expanding the workforce, and the status of campaigns in states where Pew is working actively.

Presenting author's disclosure statement:Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I direct the Pew Children’s Dental Campaign, which partners with states to expand the dental workforce available to care for low income children. I joined Pew in 2008, and before that spent 20 years working for 3 different groups of policymakers: governors, state legislatures and state health officials. My policy work has focused on low income women and children. I recently served on the Institute of Medicine “Access” committee that issued a report in 2011.
