Alameda County is providing a number of innovative programs among youth, women, and other groups designed to reduce disparities in health. This presentation explain how these efforts are limited by the national trends in income inequality among other factors.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the agency director for the Health Authority in Alameda County, responsible for an agency budget of 661 million dollars inlusive of the departments of Public Health, Behavrioiral Health, and Environmental Health. I am a mental health practitioner specializing in adolescent services and youth development, as well as revenue-producing social justice programming, and crisis counseling.
