The Silver Ribbon Campaign to Trust Women is breaking new ground in bringing unity and visibility to women's rights organizations. As a pediatrician specializing in adolescent medicine, my clinical work and my advocacy both involve increasing reproductive freedom and reproductive justice. However, state legislators and Congress have taken an increasing number of actions to limit affordable and legal access to birth control and abortion. I describe these challenges and their consequences for public health as adolescents deal with insufficient resources and progress into adulthood.
