A practicing DHAT explains how their profession has helped the people of their communities by focusing on Prevention and Education. An update of the current status of the DHAT program and how it has improved access to an underserved population with high unmet needs will be described. Illustration through photos will depict how the DHAT program works in Alaska.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am a practicing Certified Dental Therapist and have been working in the field for almost eight years. I also supervise other dental therapist and I am on the Dental Academic Review Committee that reviews the Standards and Procedures that allow therapists to practice in the State of Alaska.
