This session includes topics related to community participation and the health of persons with disabilities. The first presenter reports the elements of community living that people with developmental disabilities find to be critical. The second presenter describes the development of assistive devices for persons with physical disabilities by industrial design students. The third and the fourth presenters discuss the home and neighborhood environment surrounding children and adults with disabilities.
Session Objectives: Explain how the environment factor impacts health of persons with disabilities in the community.
