This session will discuss strategies to collaborate with community based organizations to provide health promotion programs for children and women. The presenters will identify the best approaches to share program outcomes with policy makers and to assist community based organizations to create vision statements.
Session Objectives: At the end of the session, participants should be able to: 1. Identify opportunities for academic-community partnerships, 2. Identify resources to eliminate barriers and promote healthy communities, and 3. Formulate a public health experience into a compelling story to tell policy makers.
