Presentations in this session analyze results of three patient population surveys and a random sample of another patient population for benefits of coordinated, comprehensive care of mental and physical health problems. Topics include medical homes, integration of mental with physical conditions, utilization of nurse practitioners, and factors of patient compliance.
Session Objectives: Compare compliance of patients with respect to clinical setting and insured status. Describe savings from participation of nurse practitioners in care for chronic diseases. Demonstrate benefits of medical homes for improving clinical care. Assess integrating care for mental health with care for chronic and other conditions.
