In this presentation, the role of healthy communities in improving the overall productivity of the state and country will be discussed. The challenges which communities face in addressing women's health issues as well as community factors associated with improved women's health indicators will be highlighted.
Session Objectives: 1. Discuss the interplay of the women's health status of communities and their surrounding environments. 2. Identify the socio economic and cultural factors which contribute to women's health indicators in a community.
