Objective: To analyze the effect of patient centered medical home (PCMH) on the use of preventive dental services among asthmatic children. Methodology: SLAITS 2009-2010 was analyzed. Instructions by CDC were followed to avoid bias. PCMH variable was created from 25 variables in the dataset. Propensity score matching was done for PCMH to remove the bias for dental sevices utilization. SUDAAN was used to analyze the data. Results: We observed that having PCMH had greater odds (3.78) o use of dental services among asthmatic children. Though race, primary language spoken at house, education, and family structure play a role in the utilization pattern of dental services. Conclusion: PCMH improve the patient coordination in the health care system. Asthmatic children (0-17 years) tend to have better utilization of preventive dental services. With the new health reforms and the increase in the electronic health record system, it can be expected that the utilization of dental preventive services would increase.
