This presentation will describe the implementation strategy for the first-in-the-nation Massachusetts Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund. The $60 million fund aims to Reduce rates of the state's most costly preventable health conditions and reduce health disparities, while supporting the state's goal to reduce health care costs. The presentation will describe the role of the Prevention and Wellness Advisory Board, the process for developing a funding strategy and funding application, the evaluation plan, as well as lessons learned and challenges to date.

I am a former director of DPH’s Bureau of Community Health and Prevention where I spearhead nationally recognized programs like the Mass in Motion anti-childhood obesity campaign.
