Health equity impact review guide

The EIR Guide is designed to help public health staff examine proposals and identify actions to effectively reduce health disparities and increase health equity. Specifically, the Guide offers a systematic approach to identify ways to modify a proposed policy or project: to ensure it will reduce health disparities and not make them worse; better understand the uneven impacts on various populations; and recommend project and policies that promote equity and east adverse impacts. The value of using the guide includes: improve quality of organizational interventions; build relationships and collaborations; acknowledge experiences of community members; engage and empower communities; build consensus; and document involvement.
