Biographical Sketch: Dr. Baker is an Assistant Professor of the Master of Public program at La Salle University. Dr. Baker has over twelve years of community based research experience mostly focused on HIV/STD prevention. Dr. Baker has recently received a Diversity Investigator Supplement award from NIH under Dr. Loretta Jemmott’s R01 grant “Shape Up: Barbers Building Better Brothers”. Dr. Baker will investigate the degree to which African American fathers influence sons’ beliefs, intentions, and participation in sexual risk behaviors and the feasibility of implementing a sexual risk communication program for African American fathers and sons.
