This state-of-the-art session presents research, funded by the Patient Centered Outcome Research Institure (PCORI), that asks clients and family members to participate in the design of research and clinical interventions. This session applies standard practice and mixed method strategies, a variety of service delivery settings, and explores the preferences of multicultural patients facing a range of mental and physical health needs.
Session Objectives: Understand more about the use of community forums, especially deliberative democracy forums, to obtain community perspectives within the African American community. Discuess standard practice and mixed methods strategies for engaging stakeholders with mental health needs.
