Based on the theoretical framework of causal inference and observational studies, this part of course will introduce basic concepts of PSM and its limitations, compare commonly-used PSM methods, explain graphing and balance checking after matching, and discuss current issues and new developments in PSM.

Learning Objectives:
Describe the basic concepts and main features of PSM. Explain why and when to apply PSM in public health research.
