Changing the philosophy of a school district: Use of a positive youth development program to decrease risk factors, increase protective factors and engage parents

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have been the principal investigator for a federally funded grant focusing on replicating the Seattle Social Development Project (Raising Healthy Children). Primary focus is reducing teenage pregnancy. Secondary focus is preventing other risky behaviors (drug abuse, truancy, gangs, delinquency etc) and increasing healthy behaviors. Additional research completed using SSDP as focus for juvenile behavior change.
