The short film tells the story of a young man’s journey in making a choice to undergo Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision. Joseph gets support to undergo the procedure from his girlfriend, Martha. Together they discuss the merits of VMCC such as its protective effects against acquisition of HIV and cervical cancer. Joseph is encouraged by the discussion with his girlfriend and goes to a medical center to undergo VMMC. There, he is given counseling on the merits of VMMC where the counselor tells a group of young men including Joseph how VMMC is done, the differences between VMMC and traditional circumcision and the merits of VMMC, explaining that VMMC reduces the risk of contracting HIV, but that recipients of VMMC need to follow HIV preventive procedures such as abstinence, faithfulness and use of a condom during intercourse to avoid contracting HIV.

Joseph and Martha volunteered to participate in the film to show why it is important for men to undergo VMMC. The film also highlights that spousal support and communication is key in motivating men to undergo VMMC.
