United States, Maximizing Risk-Appropriate Care for Mothers and Newborns
Progress to optimize risk-appropriate maternal and newborn care is being made at the regional and state levels through a Collaborative Improvement & Innovation Network (CoIIN) in Health and Human Services Regions IV and VI. This CoINN Strategy Team on perinatal regionalization is taking a geographically-targeted approach to maximize risk-appropriate care for mothers and newborns.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I serve as Senior Vice President and Deputy Medical Officer at the March of Dimes. I provide direction in education and commuknity services to March of Dimes state-based chapters, plus DC and Puerto Rico. I oversee national public health intiatives at the March of Dimes. I earned BA and MD from Boston University and pediatric training at Rhode Island Hospital. I have over 25 years experience in pediatric clinical and maternal and child public health.
