Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: As a resident of St. Bernard Parish since 1955, I have first hand experience of oil industry pollution and accidents. Between 2001 and 2006, I was an active member of the St. Bernard Citizens for Environmental Quality, a community group working to monitor refinery emissions. I can speak to the need for increased monitoring, the importance of community involvement and the successes achieved through community action.
