States play a vital role in the successful implementation of Federal health policy. This presenter will describe how states and communities in HHS Region 4 (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee) are putting into practice key Federal health initiatives, including Healthy People 2020, by tackling the root causes of health inequities and disparities.
