The Vermont Department of Health will detail the methods employed and the findings from having prepared a Climate and Health Profile Report (CHPR) as a grantee within CDC’s Climate-Ready States and Cities Initiative. The speaker will discuss the health department's interpretation of CDC’s guidance for developing a CHPR and customizations needed to prepare a CHPR for Vermont. The speaker will cover state-based and other data sources needed to summarize the threat profile for Vermont, the critical collaborations needed, and lessons learned from preparing a CHPR. The speaker will discuss how the CHPR has been received and is being used by local health departments and other sectors in Vermont.
