My presentation will open the session and will feature a brief, introductory version of Public Health Law 101.  I will discuss relevant constitutional concepts and principles framing the practice of public health, including federalism, preemption, and sources of law.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I currently serves as a Senior Public Health Analyst with the Public Health Law Program (PHLP) in the Office for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). My primary responsibilities involve serving as the lead for Public Health Law Training and Workforce Development at CDC. My primary responsibilities include the delivery of public health law related training and curriculum to internal and external audiences.
