The Long Beach Health Department decided to “localize” this year's NPHW theme by showcasing what it takes to make Long Beach a healthy, thriving community. The theme Public Health: Start Here was incorporated into promotional activities and events throughout the weeks leading up to a conference. Social Media played a large role in promoting activities, engaging staff, and educating the community on our services.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I was the event chair for my organization’s Public Health Week (PHW). I oversaw the social media components used to promote our activities, including the production of a Youtube video, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts. I also coordinated the community conference that my organization hosted during PHW, in addition to smaller events throughout PHW.
