Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I was a student of Dr Steele’s in the 1980’s. I was mentored by Dr Steele for many years throughout my career in the USPHS and served as the 9th chief veterinary officer of the USPHS (RADM Steele was the first CVO in the USPHS). I continue to teach mentor and promote and advance “One Health” concepts-many of them first articulated by Dr Steele.
