My portion of this panel will describe advocacy efforts made by the Ohio Public Health Association over the past several years.  I will share lessons learned through the advocacy process and suggestions for successful advocacy.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have over 35 years of experience in public health, with 30 at the State Health Department level and 6 as the Executive Director of the Ohio Public Health Association. I have had working relationships with funders, advocacy groups, recipients and providers of public health services, and policymakers at the federal, state and local levels. I have a specific interest in making sure that there is an inclusive voice for public health.
