Philanthropy can play an important role in supporting and bringing attention to innovations in the delivery of care to vulnerable populations newly eligible under the ACA.   The speaker will discuss strategies employed by the Melville Charitable Trust to support the implementation of the ACA in addressing the needs of people experiencing homelessness who cycle repeatedly through crisis systems of care, including hospital emergency rooms, detox, and shelters.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Janice has over 25 years of experience in creating solutions to prevent and end homelessness through advocacy for systems change and developing housing and service solutions for vulnerable individuals and families. Janice is a former managing director at the Corporation for Supportive Housing where she coordinated collaborative systems change efforts involving multiple public agencies, and led Taking Health Care Home, a national multi-site initiative that advanced systems reforms to address chronic homelessness.
