In today’s society, robots are being used in a variety of settings: home, clinical, surgical, etc. Robots can be useful in supporting the aging population and those who are disabled.  In this session, we will focus our attention on the use of robotics in home healthcare, value and potential risks.

Describe how robots are currently used in home healthcare. Describe the benefits and risks of using robots for home healthcare. Describe how future home healthcare robots may benefit healthcare delivery as well as disease, injury, and illness prevention.
