Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have been Executive Director for over 10 years of a non-profit organization that focuses on design and implementation of strategies to improve community health through increased food access, economic development, and collaboration. Supported by grants from USDA, HHS, Alameda County and local foundations like Kresge, Mandela MarketPlace addresses the nexus between health and poverty by increasing access to affordable, fresh foods through incubation of locally owned food-based enterprise, and job/entrepreneurship training in low-income communities.
