The focus is on the essential challenge of  (re)uniting primary care and public health for stronger systems and greater health. It is intended to help our public health colleagues envision and enable a future in which the public health system better integrates and advances prevention/population health and the schism between clinical care and pub health is narrowed or erased.... for healthier populations and communities.

Learning Objectives:
Describe new trends in integrating Medicaid and population health. Describe state approaches to public health and Medicaid data integration. Describe state approaches to improving birth outcomes. Discuss creating priorities in population health through joint efforts with public health and Medicaid.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: Dr. Rebekah Gee is the Medicaid Medical Director for the state of Louisiana. She is an Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University. Dr. Gee has served as chair or co-chair of several national efforts on perinatal quality improvement and measurement and prematurity reduction for state and national organizations including CMS, HRSA, NQF and ACOG.
