The Social and Behavioral Change Working Group (SBC WG) is one of CORE Group’s 8 Working Groups (WG) and 5 Interest Groups.  WGs are a major CORE Group mechanism for communication, sharing technical information and developing field tools for improving maternal and child health.   A brief overview of the history and work of the SBC WG will be presented. SBC has developed more than 25 tools/resources developed collaboratively and field tested by CORE members.  The major areas of tool development are Partnership Defined Quality (PDQ); Designing for Behavior Change (DBC), Barrier Analysis, Social and Behavior Change for Family Planning, and Care Groups. These approaches will be briefly described and the DBC framework will be presented as an example.  This will include how it was developed, how much it has been used across countries and organizations, and illustrated with specific descriptions of how Concern has used the DBC framework in the field, including results and impact.
